Rows

A row is a single entry inside a tally. Every row has an optional label, a value, and a +/− sign that decides whether it adds to or subtracts from the total.

Adding a row

Tap the empty row at the bottom of the list — the ghost row. Tap the label area to start typing a label, or tap the value area to enter a number first.

The total updates live as you type. New rows always land in the period you're currently viewing.

You can also tap the + in the toolbar to add a row without scrolling to the bottom.

Editing a row

Tap any row's label or value to edit it. Use the +/− toggle on the left to flip the sign — blue + adds, red subtracts.

Press Return to move from the label to the value. Press Tab to move forward — label to value, value to the next row's label.

Reordering rows

Long-press a row and drag it up or down. Rows stay in the order you set across launches.

Skipping a row

Swipe right on a row to skip it. Skipped rows stay visible (with a strikethrough) but don't count toward the total. Useful for tentative entries or expenses you plan to remove.

Swipe right again to un-skip.

Deleting a row

Swipe left on a row and tap Delete. The row is removed permanently.

Selecting multiple rows

Tap the checklist icon in the toolbar to enter select mode. Tap rows to select them, then tap the trash in the action bar at the top to delete them all at once.

Tap Done to leave select mode.

Section headers

A row with a label but no value renders as a section header — bold text across the row, with a hairline divider above it. Useful for grouping rows like Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner inside a daily tally.

To create one, add a new row, type a label, and leave the value blank.

If you'd rather every row look the same, you can turn section headers off in Settings.
